Hannes chair by Eliel Saarinen
A rare and elegant “Hannes” chair originally designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1908, here produced in Finland by Adelta Oy in 1983.
The design reflects Saarinen’s early modern approach, blending architectural clarity with refined craftsmanship. The chair features a strong geometric frame with subtly flared back supports and a distinctive central back splat, giving it a balanced and sculptural presence.
The round seat is fitted with woven cane, adding warmth and lightness while providing comfortable support. The contrast between the dark-stained wooden frame and the natural cane enhances the chair’s visual appeal.
